PARKING SURVEY

Please visit the Agendas and Minutes Page and click on the link to the survey

This document sets out a combined approach for gathering public views on requests for parking restrictions through a resident survey. The purpose is to gather local evidence to inform discussions with Devon County Council Highways, the Highway Authority.

Sandford Parish Council cannot introduce parking restrictions. Any double yellow lines can only be implemented by Devon County Council Highways through a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO), subject to technical assessment, prioritisation, and funding availability.

Part 1: Public Survey (Evidence for Devon County Council Highways)

Purpose of the survey:
- To gather a broad range of local views
- To identify specific locations, times, and types of problems
- To provide proportionate, evidence-based input to Devon County Council Highways

Important note for respondents:
This survey does not constitute a vote and does not guarantee any outcome. It will be used as supporting evidence alongside a public meeting and technical advice from Devon County Council Highways.
